Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?
It's pretty impressive to think that someone can spell "sponges" incorrectly. How can you spell "sponge" using other letters or removing a letter? "J" would have made it look so weird and removing the "e" will make it sound like "song" with a "p".
