IntroductionI am funny, compassionate, cute. I like smart asses and smarties. I'm a geek, ex-Catholic school girl (12 year vet), librarian, biz consultant, and English instructor. I'm a Buddhist, (by way of 12 years Catholic school). I've been a pacifist since a very early age. I'm anti-capital punishment. I'm also somewhat introverted (MBTI -- INTP), but only my close friends know that. I believe in compassion and peace and try to live up to my beliefs (it's a tough world). I'm a robot collector and I have an amazing ward, Spike the Wondercat.

Favorite booksThe Art of Happiness, Siddartha, The Sun Also Rises, Pick-up, Burnt Orange Heresy, The Face on the Cutting Room Floor. The Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama is an incredibly powerful book, but very low-key. It was written with a psychologist, an interesting counterpoint. Re-reading Discipline &; Punish by Michel Foucault; really makes you see familiar institutions in a very compelling way. Siddartha by Herman Hesse -- I'm on a continual re-read. A beautiful, wonderous book. It helps me to really get Buddhism...
