Introduction	Hi my name is Mac and I love Central Texas BBQ. I've spent the last 24 years smoking and eating some of the best BBQ the state has to offer (and the occasional bad stuff) while traveling with my family or just cooking for friends or catering a meal for a church group , bridal shower, or birthday celebration. I've owned smokers as small as 16 x 16 inch with no lids all the way up to some with a capacity to hold twenty 15 pound briskets at one time. I've learned to smoke meats on some of the worst equipment and some of the best. I truly enjoy helping others create and serve the best possible BBQ they can to wow their families and friends.

Favorite movies	Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Star Wars, The Road, Life is Beautiful, Its a Wonderful LIfe, Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas, and anything in the MCU (except that 3rd Iron Man)
Favorite music	Being a musician myself I love all types of music including sultry sax music to Black Gospel, Country, 70s and 80s, Hip-Hop and a multitude of other musical delights.
Favorite books	Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Legends of Texas BBQ and Tex-Mex Cooking by Robb Walsh, anything by Steven Raichlen, Rick Bayless, and Myron Mixon, Hints and Pinches by Eugene Walter, and the one cookbook that I would grab if the house was on fire: Texas Home Cooking by Bill and Cheryl Alters Jamison .
