| Introduction | Hi, my name is Kristy. I'm a mother to two beautiful children and I'm justnotTHATmom. You know which one I’m talking about; the mom that makes her meals from scratch, is super creative, does neat art projects, is really organized, and has her kids in bed on time. I am also justnotTHATmom that bakes cookies for her child’s teacher, gets up early on picture to make sure her kids look extra fancy, or stays home all day thinking there is no other place she would rather be. Don’t get my wrong, I LOVE my kids and love being around them. They are cute, smart, quirky, funny, kind, etc, but I can also think of other fun things to do away from them (like dancing/drinking/showering/laying on the beach/sleeping/eating sushi). To give myself some credit, I do THINK like THAT mom. I always think about the gifts I can make, the schedules I can follow, the things I can volunteer at. I have great intentions, just poor follow through, but I am constantly improving. I also DO some great things. I am a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a PTSA Vice President, and I also try to work at every function possible at both of my kids’ schools, and go to every meeting where I am allowed. That’s enough for me. |
