Introduction The Tao is known as The Path, or The Way. For me it’s the way of all things. The more I study it the more is revealed as to the true nature of being. The Tao says to meet adversity with optimism and to be prudent in the face of prosperity. Life is a series of balanced cycles and the more you go with the punches the better off you will fare. As I watched my own teen struggle through his addiction, I saw him embrace humility and work on his 12 steps. He met adversity with acceptance and the resolve to move ahead. He became less argumentive and smiled often and for pictures; something he never did when he was using. I hope to make clear the Tao of Teen Addiction, a path of clarity, truth, humility and love. Great suffering and tragedy can give birth to great accomplishment and peace. That is the Tao of all things.
