| Introduction | My primary influences in life are Jesus Christ and my parents. My political ideology is in the middle. I don't typically vote on a specific party in any election, but rather on the candidates specifically, and the state of government as it is at the time with the current party in power. My personal political experience includes national and state elections. I have voted in every one since I turned 18 and became eligible. I am taking this class because 'I have to' for my degree but I'm also very interested in learning more and understanding more about Texas state politics as a citizen here for sixteen years. I hope to gain a more intimate knowledge of how the laws and politics work, as well as an increased ability to help shape and pave the future of Texas for the positive. Business wise I've worked in the telecommunications industry for the past nine years. Currently I do internet connection support in a 'laptop support group' for AT&T in their wireless division, with whom I've been employed by for the past five years going on six. I'm currently in school working towards a four year business degree. |
