| Introduction | I am a conductor and a personal trainer -- the edges between these professions often blur. There are times when my days are made up of what would exist traditionally in both professions. Other times I find myself conducting elderly and able bodied people and helping people with disabilities with weight loss and training elite athletes from across the ability spectrum. A wise friend and mentor counselling me through an existential conductive crisis reminded me that being a conductor is not about what you do, but about how you do everything that you do. I know that I am a better personal trainer because I see people through the eyes of a conductor. My postings on this blog will try to make sense of that. |
