Introduction	I li(o)ve to eat, read & write. (in that order) Good food makes me a little giddy. So really, this blog is about food. And a little bit about me. I’m not a chef and I’m not a connoisseur. So my blog – not unlike my cooking – is spontaneous and quirky and a bit eccentric. I write about food and cooking and eating and recipes that have meaning to me. And I try and explain why. And so, I rant and I rave and I have myself a thoroughly grand time, because this is what I enjoy doing. I was born in Calcutta into a food-obsessed family of Bengalis; I can hardly control myself you see, it’s in my DNA. I hold a degree in English and Economics from Ohio Wesleyan and an MBA from Harvard. This gives me bragging rights to good spelling, famous classmates and surviving the world’s worst winters without losing spunk. I am married to Sid, and mommy to Ranbir and Reyaan, loves of my life; guinea pig for my culinary creations. Three qualifications to my name: (1) I have read everything (2) I eat everything (3) I can tell a story about anything. I am Yummyami. The kitchen is my playground and words are my toys. I am passionate about food, and books and not much else.
