| Introduction | Through life's experiences I have come to realize that we all have a story, we all have been given this day to live it, and to "seize the day" has become my mantra. I have been given the gift of life and have come to understand, fully, that all we have is this moment in time. God keeps giving me the lessons and I pray I am learning them the way He intends. I have been blessed with the gift of time through retirement from years of teaching and working as a school principal, time to be even more thankful of my "circumstances", thankful for those who have entered my life, personally AND professionally, but mostly, thankful for the life and breath of our daughters, Jennifer and Allison, who God has blessed me with and shown me how to BE and hold onto the hope and light of a new day. Jennifer's talent, spirit, spunk and sensitivity drive me to be a better person, mother, mentor and role model, and Allison's legacy has taught me to live strong, with the same dignity, purpose, and courage that she displayed as she lived through an intense 11 week battle with lung cancer. I live in thankfulness and faith in a loving God who holds me up and shows me the way, each and every step. |
| Interests | hmmm, I think I am learning new interests, reading and learning is at the top of my list, travel is becoming a close second (especially to Hull, MA, to be with my sister and family...I even have my own closet now), journaling and writing, cooking, wine tasting! |
| Favorite Movies | I love movies but can never remember names, just know I like them, especially now that we have big screen TV. |
| Favorite Music | It used to be country all the way, but I am changing and learning, thanks in part to Joe's eclectic tastes, my addiction to "the wood", 89.1, and my newfound love of lyrics and melodies and new voices. New age instrumentals are becoming a fast favorite. |
| Favorite Books | That would be too difficult, but my current favorite, is The Shack, a book I just finished and immediately began to read again. I know we each have our own shack moment and look forward to sharing that on some future posting! |
