About me

Location KIngston, Ontario, Canada
Introduction On May 18, 2010, in my 52nd year, my life was rudely interrupted by a bacteria called Type A strep - better known as flesh eating disease. In the days and weeks following the initial detection of the infection, I literally fought for my life. The doctors told those close to me that I had a 10% of survival. I lost my left leg, a hip disarticulation (only 2% of amputations are at the hip), my left hand from just below the elbow, my right leg from just below the knee and the tips of the five digits on my remaining right hand. I am writing this blog to keep my friends and family informed of my progress, but also to inspire anyone else in cyber-space that may chance upon my blog that life is worth living, it is all in the choices you make to live it. Drop me a line or a comment. I would love to hear from you. Bryan PS My girlfriend types for me at the moment, while I dictate, but we hope that when my hand heals from the recent surgery, I will be able to do that myself.
