| Introduction | AIDS Walk Portland is a 2.5 mile walk that brings together individuals, teams and volunteers with the goal of raising much-needed funds for HIV/AIDS services, public education and outreach to youth and adults most at risk for contracting HIV. AIDS Walk Portland showcases community spirit as people from all walks of life come together in the fight against AIDS.
Participants enjoy breakfast, music, entertainment, the Kids' Corner (arts and crafts, face painting, prizes and balloons), and inspirational presentations from community leaders. The AIDS Walk benefits Cascade AIDS Project and AIDS service organizations throughout the greater Portland Area. Last year, we raised $375,000 to help stop the spread of HIV and assist those infected. |
