| Introduction | I have been hand-dyeing for almost 20 years. I focused first on plant fibers for my basket-supply business. It’s when I got involved with wool that I truly fell in love with the dyeing process. My studies at Kendall College of Art & Design with the many color classes that were required have been a great asset to my understanding of color theory. Although I have been designing for over 30 years, I came to sock knitting and design more recently – in 2002. I recently started to combine knitted lace, an old passion of mine, into my sock designs. Our wool comes from Australia, however, for my personal work, I love to buy fleece locally, and go from the scouring process right up through carding, spinning, dyeing, and knitting. Wool is my passion! I am excited about this product line, and would love to hear your comments. The picture? That's me and my Border Collies, Ceiligh and Trean. |
