Introduction With a heavy science background in both Life Sciences (Mumbai) and Food Science and Technology (Melbourne), I was attracted to food and cooking because of how unscientific it is. Yes it is all chemistry, but food to me represents love and conviviality, memories and creativity. In 2009, I quit my job in Oz, packed my very heavy bags and lugged them to Parma, Italy. A very happy girl embarked on an adventure in gastronomy completing a Masters degree in Italian Gastronomy and Tourism in 2009 and I found myself staying on to work for Slow Food in a tiny town called Bra in the lush Langhe hills of Piedmont. In 2013 I went from sleepy Bra to bustling Mumbai where my two worlds collide.
