Why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth?
Hemoglobin contains iron, which make up the red blood cells found in humans. Today's pennies (since 1983) are made almost entirely of zinc, with a thin outer coating of copper. Both are metallic tasting. If you can tell the difference then you have a heightened cents of taste.
