About me

Introduction From my earliest memory I dragged home every tiny wriggling creature and built a cage for it. Dreadful things like physics and mathematics kept me from being a professional biologist, so I ended up making a living as an English teacher. Nature was always the passion, though, and Cheryl and I were keen bird watchers. The advent of digital cameras and close-focusing binoculars changed my life. I could now focus easily on the invertebrates that were my childhood love. When I retired, that love was free to become an obsession. I don't see how anyone can live without an obsession.
