| Introduction | I look at the mug in front of me and I see something sturdy and practical. It keeps whatever I drink hot or cold fairly long. I look at myself and realize I'm no mug, though I want to be strong and grounded like one. But then, when I write about my days as a wife and mother, I am pleasantly surprised at what I discover about myself and how I am constantly evolving. Perhaps being married for fifteen years and parenting for the last seven, I had not really noticed the changes. So maybe I am a mug. And just maybe, I'm finally living up to my name. Gulp! |
