| Introduction | Artist statement: When I start a painting it is often inspired by a landscape, a certain plant, an artwork by another artist, or a combination of colors. At the beginning I have a visual concept. But somewhere in the middle it changes to absolute creativity. This is my favorite part. At this point I feel immersed in my work as it wanders down multiple paths. I believe my career as a musician and composer weaves through many of my artworks bringing melodic and rhythmic elements into the compositions. A fellow artist recently described my work as, “elegant, stylized realism”. I call my style, Conceptual Evolution. |
