Introduction	My name is Bailey Reese and I am the founder and President of HeroHugs.org, a 501(c)3 organization, that sends appreciation packages to deployed troops. I started Hero Hugs at the age of seven after the area where I live was devastated by Hurricane Ivan. One day at a checkpoint where troops were passing out supplies, I noticed people complaining about the long lines and amounts being given out, but heard no one saying thanks. The men and women serving our country deserve our thanks and appreciation. They serve and sacrifice to try and make the world a better place for all of us to live in. I went home and made thank you cards for the troops at the checkpoint. When I returned to pass them out, I was so touched by their response that I wanted to keep thanking our troops and from there Hero Hugs was born. Hero Hugs is unique because all of our packages are packed by kids. Not only are we thanking the men and women who proudly serve in the armed forces, but we are getting kids involved in giving back to others and proving that all of us have the ability to make a difference. I am now 15 and Hero Hugs has sent out over 75,000 packages to deployed troops!
