Introduction	While mental illness may be the face of the homeless person you see on the street corner, it is also the face of our loved ones. It can be the face of our parents, sons, daughters, husbands or wives. For me, it was the face of my husband; a man that I loved and trusted since the age of 17. For me, mental illness was destructive, without conscience, consumed with misplaced anger, frightening and very painful; that is until I decided to break free of it and reclaim my life. This is my journey back to happiness and to truly living life again.
