The artform of FRENCH MATTING has been a passion of mine since my early teens and my love of 18th - 20th Century Works on Paper allows the opportunity to create Traditional French Matting. French Matting is a series of handpainted watercolor lines and washes accented with handmade gold leaf papers. With the availability of new Museum quality boards I have developed a new series of mats - ANTIQUARIAN FRENCH MATS, the deep rich colors of the boards together with my handpainted lines creates a superb style for Period Watercolors and Engravings.
