Introduction | I am at a fortunate time in my life as a retired person free of most expenses and able to travel on very little money. I am also fortunate to have a family in the U.S. of four sons, two daughters, 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, with another grandchild on the way, who are always in my heart. The great joy of my life work culminated in the co-founding of The Cambodian Children's House of Peace, providing food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and education for 30 10-18 year olds, and 6 young adults in Siem Reap. CCHP, nicknamed "Santepheap" (Khmer for 'Peace' - pronounced santay-pea-ap), is now operating entirely with Khmer staff and many volunteers from around the world. It depends on donations to provide for its sustainability: www.santepheap.org On August 30, 2012, I began a round-the-world trek with no time and no space, i.e. going wherever is next whenever it is time. I will stay in touch with family and friends on this blog, an incredible feature of modern times for "being in touch!" |
Interests | Mindfulness Practice in the tradition of Ven. Thich Nhat Hanh's worldwide sanghas as I travel. Currently on a round-the-world trek. |
