Introduction Stephen Carpenter was born in Weatherford, Texas, and raised in Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from UCLA Film School, and has worked as a screenwriter for several years. He wrote screenplays for Ocean’s Eleven, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, The Man, starring Samuel Jackson and Eugene Levy, and Blue Streak, starring Martin Lawrence. He also wrote and directed several thrillers, including Soul Survivors starring Luke Wilson and Casey Affleck. Mr. Carpenter also lectures frequently on writing and story structure at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, and he is currently developing a one-hour mystery series for NBC. His first novel, Killer, was published in 2010 on Amazon/Kindle.
