Introduction I'm 50 years old, with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and 17p deletion. I was diagnosed 2002. I have been treated with 6xFCR and obtained 33 months of complete response (or remission). I was then treated with 4xFCR, followed by 20x SubQ Campath, in preparation for a non-myeloablative, allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) from 10pt matching sister. After 12 month, my CLL returned. I have had 3x of Donor Lymphocyte Infusions (DLI) at increasing doses. Recently, my CLL is taking a turn for the worse and I’ll have more chemo followed by additional DLI and possibly a 2nd transplant, this time a myeloablative, allogeneic HSCT. Prior to my 1st transplant, I worked as a director of customer support for an enterprise software startup. Troubleshooting was a cornerstone of my career and that was a good thing in preparing me for this adventure and journey. I also enjoy trying to keep myself alert and my mind active. I exercise and try to keep myself abreast of my health status, test results, decisions. This is a fight of a lifetime, and believe it or not, I’m enjoying the challenge. Come find out why!
