| Introduction | I am a devoted family man, a junior high English teacher, a political and media consultant, a recovering journalist, a devout Catholic -- and a HUGE film buff. As a teenager, I worked at the Plaza Cinema Four in New Orleans, the Aurora Cinema 6 in Algiers and the Sena Mall in Metairie -- movie houses that are now, sadly, gone. I studied film at Loyola University in New Orleans from 1979 to 1981 before being sucked into print journalism and the world of newspapers for 25 years. Now I am bringing my love and appreciation for film to the Internet through this blog. I hope you enjoy my commentary and analysis. And I hope I've helped you discover great films you might otherwise have never seen. |
