| Introduction | My name is Rachel Mendoza. I am 27 years old and have had anorexia nervosa since I was 13 years old. I've had times when it was in what I'd call an inactive phase and others when it's very active. I'm also bipolar and have panic disorder. I also have complex PTSD due to childhood sexual abuse and a rape at the age of 24. This blog will be public and I truly hope it helps others. It's primarily about eating disorders but I will delve into some other issues as I feel the desire to. I currently have a PEG feeding tube surgically implanted into my stomach and will be going into a lot of detail about that here. What this blog is NOT. It is not a pro-ana or pro-mia blog. I will be posting photos at times that may be triggering to some people so please be aware of that. My primary goal though is to expose the truth about eating disorders as best I can and hopefully get some good discussions and questions going. Thanks for visiting and please return often! |
