| Introduction | I have two blogs: my first is 'Far From The Madding Crowd' which contains my pictures of the natural world which are taken mainly in Dorset, South of England where Thomas Hardy based most of his novels. The title of my blog 'Far From the Madding Crowd' is from one of his books. The title of this book, Thomas Hardy took from a poem written by Thomas Gray 'Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard' Madding means frenzied. My second blog 'Consider the Lilies' is my pictures in black and white along with my reflections on life. I feel black and white pictures are more powerful in conveying thoughts and ideas than if they were in colour. |
