| Introduction | My wife and I have been married for 6 years and we have two boys ages 3 and 1. I have been teaching secondary mathematics for 3 years now and have taught grades 6 - 12. I also teach developmental mathematics to adults and I love the thrill of helping others construct understanding. The challenge to provide meaningful learning opportunities for my students is one of my greatest passions. I love to think about the teaching and learning process in general. The purpose of this blog is to serve as a place for me to synthesize my thoughts while at the same time hoping to be able to participate and possibly contribute to the math education learning community. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a follower of Christ, and love to discuss my beliefs with others. The 5 things that make me tick are: Religion, family, teaching, learning, and math. |
