| Introduction | I am a Christian woman who believes deeply in the place where faith and social justice meet. My primary ministry is to my family, John my wonderful husband of 12 years and our children Patrick and Grace. We also share our home with my beautiful parents Olga and Oscar. My life as I have known it is in the midst of radical change. I have left my home in the South Bronx after 45 years. I have also left my ministry of almost 20 years. I have moved to the Shawangunk Mountains where I am in the throws of great joy and anticipation sprinkled with anxiety and grieving over this extraordinary transformation in my life. I pray daily that I may fully understand who I am and who I am supposed to be in this next season of my life. Sometimes I'm excited. Sometimes I'm scared. I go back and forth between my very public life as a faith based leader, community activist and public speaker and my life as a mother, wife, daughter and woman. I love anything lovely, thrift shops, making my new home beautiful, gardening, hiking and offering love and hospitality to all who enter my life. I am growing, learning, changing as I become the woman I am supposed to be. |
