Introduction	I used to build and repair houses as a builder and often I would try to save people from their building nightmares. Now I try to help them build their lives on an intentional Christian spirituality which engages with life, their relationships, their mind and their body. This emphasis developed in response to becoming burnt out after 6 yrs of intensive ministry. I then left ministry and for the next 8 yrs worked back in my trade as a carpenter and became a licenced builder here in Melbourne, Victoria (Australia). During this time I recovered and worked on developing an intentional Christian spirituality which has a contemplative focus. I trained as a spiritual director over a 4 yr period part-time during this period. I moved back into ministry three years ago (2008) when the Anglican Church ordained me. I am married with three children: a girl in her early 20's, a boy in upper teens and a girl in mid teens. My blog is The Contemplative Crisis at www.robculhane.com
