| Introduction | Despite its title this blog is roughly 15% genealogy, 10% history, and 5% miscellaneous -- with the remaining 70% travelogue. Graduated from Santa Cruz HS in 1957 & San Jose State in 1961, where I was a member of Tau Delta Phi. Commissioned upon graduation and spent 3 yrs in the U.S. Army SigC in GA, NJ, Korea, & back at Ft Ord in CA. Obtained a General Secondary Teaching Credential & taught at Bishop Un HS on the east side of the Sierra Nevada before returning to the Santa Cruz area where I taught a year at Soquel HS & 3 yrs at Harbor HS, both of which are in the Santa Cruz City Schools District. Became a commodity broker in Jul 73 in order to have more time for fly-fishing in the Sierras. Became interested in genealogy at a family reunion in 1999 and it's now my #1 interest. |
