| Introduction | Daryl Gregory is an award-winning SF novelist and short-story writer, as well as a confirmed comic book geek. His first novel, Pandemonium, is a mashup about demonic possession, Jungian archeytpes, and golden age comics. His second novel, The Devil's Alphabet, is a hard-SF Southern gothic murder mystery (yeah, that old cliché) that was named one of the best books of 2009 by Publisher's Weekly. His short fiction has appeared in numerous magazines and "year's best" collections. He lives in State College, Pennsylvania with his wife, a couple of teenagers, and a passive-aggressive dog. |
