| Introduction | I am a Professor of Fine Arts at Quinebaug Valley Community College. I am a painter, illustrator, and have been seriously birding for about 35 years. I have served on the Avian Records Committee of Connecticut, ARCC, for over 20 years and served most of that time as Secretary. Rare birds and methods of bird identification are a passion. These posts are meant to be a discussion with the birding community at large. Printed versions of these texts appear in The Connecticut Warbler, The Journal of the Connecticut Ornithological Association. I hope that we all can learn from the postings on this site. |
