| Introduction | I spent eight years as a sports writer, assistant sports editor and managing editor before turning to "the dark side" and taking a job in public relations. I spent 3 1/2 years as the beat writer for Sam Houston State University, my alma mater, and have written about SHSU athletics for the past 12 years. While I don't miss much about the newspaper industry, I do still enjoy writing columns. And, in case you were wondering, that is a picture of me hanging on the rim at Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium. |
