Introduction	I have been involved with the full disclosure and national opposition regarding the extortion of physicians by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) for over 4 years. The ABMS and their officers have failed to comply with their own programs for decades and propagate this corporate program to enrich themselves as a Ponzi scheme, attempting to sell confidence to the public, in physicians who purchase their diplomas. As such this is a "confidence scheme" in it's purest form. The diplomas themselves do not change care in any way, except inflating costs to the public and taking physicians from the bedside. The ABMS, along with the Federation of State Medical Boards, who is selling testing and their Maintenance of Licensure (MOL) as corporate products must be exposed as leeches on the public health bill, consuming over $375 million annually in their confidence scheme.
