| Introduction | This is my fifth year teaching kindergarten at Mona Elementary School. I graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Early Childhood-4. I am now certified to teach in both Texas and Utah. I am married and have one child. We live in Santaquin, Utah. We love hiking, reading, watching movies, camping, teaching, and traveling. My philosophy of teaching young children is young children learn primarily through play and interaction. When learning they need to have the opportunity to explore what they are being taught. All students have the right to learn. Therefore, I do my best to teach using different means and media. I firmly believe that parents are a child's first teachers and are the greatest asset to their education. I hope this blog and other communications will help the parents of my students feel involved in their children's education this year. |
