| Introduction | Hi. I'm Bushra, an evolutionary biologist that is interested in everything to do with plants! I was born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and moved to Lahore, Pakistan for my undergraduate studies at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), where I majored in Biology, with a focus on Molecular and Computational Biology. Upon graduation, I stayed in Pakistan for two years working in a non-profit health foundation and then as a Research Assistant in the Microbiology and Virology lab at LUMS. During this time, I decided to apply to an Erasmus Mundus Mobility Programme in Evolutionary Biology (MEME), and got a fully-funded scholarship to study and research all over Europe for two years. I am currently based in Montpellier, a small city in the South of France doing a semester research project on the evolution of sexual systems in angiosperms and their distribution range sizes. |
