| Introduction | am a highly sensitive person (HSP). I can easily feel another person’s feelings as though I’m the one feeling his pain, his wound, or his joy. I feel intense joy in appreciating the simple things in life- everyday things, the beauty of nature, music, the smile of a child, the touch of someone I hold dear. But I need to retreat once in a while in a solitary and peaceful place to neutralize the noises of the world that often stress me out and exhaust the energy of my spirit. I am not easy to understand, yet it is my gift to be able to understand many things. |
