| Introduction | I am a Brighton based Performance Artist, Art Therapist, Creativity Coach and Shamanic Counsellor. I believe passionately in Creativity as our birthright, and supporting people to connect fully with the source of their unique creative power lies at the core of my work, be it through Art Therapy, Creativity Coaching, mask work or shamanic work. My approach is supportive, intuitive, focussed, empowering, holistic and embraces humour. Born in Germany, I have been living and working in the UK for over twelve years and have also been making performance work for the past eight years, creating challenging pieces with humorous and poetic elements, which touch a broad register of emotions. My work is situated between Performance Art, satire, live-action, theatre and Public Ritual and concerns issues of cross-cultural identity and belonging, historical trauma, stereotyping and shamanic enquiry into space and place. My performances, both durational and time-based, have a strong visual emphasis and are informed by my cultural heritage and my experience of being German and living in the UK and enquiries into the Burlesque, Grotesque and the Shamanic. see www.evaweaver.com |
