Introduction	I am a busy mom of 4 kids: Joe (15), Natalie (13), Sam (10), and Ben (7) and have been married to my husband, Frank, for 17 years. In October of 2013, on my 39th birthday, my older sister (and best friend) Sue, passed away from a long, devastating illness. This blog is my attempt at healing my grief. The blog name (Gird Your Loins) is something she would jokingly say to me to mean, "Get ready, this is going to be hard".
