| Introduction | Hi, I'm Julie Smith, jewelry artist and painter. I've been able to pursue my passions full time since my husband and I retired four years ago. At that time, we (finally!) made the Outer Banks of North Carolina our permanent home after years of enjoying our home in Colington Harbour only for too-short vacations or weekends. Once retired, I started my jewelry business and collection, "Jewels of the OBX." Many of those designs can still be seen at Cloud Nine in Nags Head. I have many other designs including my edgier style of jewelry in metals and black called "Sandy Gear," perfect to wear when out riding on the Harley! Currently, we are traveling as much as possible, spending time with our family and - you guessed it -- riding our Harley.
