| Introduction | Linguist by education, immigrant by choice, I cannot help but raise my son in Russian and in English. When my husband Greg and I met in Germany in 1999, both of us spoke German as foreign language. For many years, German was a dominating language for our couple, but with me moving to America and going to work, German is almost never heard in our house anymore. Now, I am a stay-at-home mom, who is extremely determined to provide our son Sasha with environment where multiple languages would flourish. We will see how that goes... |
