Introduction I was lucky enough to discover Moondragon within the very first year of their career. I first saw them play live December 1990 down at Victor Drago's Falmouth & followed them religiously thereafter to as many gigs as I could get to. I estimate I must of seen Moondragon (+ Lordryk) 50+ times I reckon from 1990 to 1999 when they split. Can't be sure of the exact number of times but it was a lot. Can't say I was ever an actual close friend of their's but we were always friendly to each other & i'd describe my self as more of a well know acquaintance of theirs than best mates. I had so many good times following Moondragon that I basically started this blog for anyone who remembers or saw Moondragon to relive a little of those fun times through this blog site. There isn't a whole lot out there on the web of Moondragon/Lordryk hence why i put this blog up.
Favorite musicMoondragon, ( & Lordryk Obviously!) + 3 Daft Monkeys. I love all sorts of music. Reggae, Ska, 2 Tone, Punk, Ska-Punk, Heavy Metal, Indie, New Age Music, Indian Ragas. I hate Jazz, Opera & Rave/Dance drum n bass type music. Bands I love (besides Moondragon) include The Beatles, The Doors, Marc Bolan (T-Rex) Madness, The Specials, The Selecter, The Beat (You get it! All of the 2 Tone bands & all Ska in general, Although I was an absolute massive humongous Madness fan in the early eighties) Who else...? Sex Pistols, Rancid, Sublime, Pixies, Iron Maiden,Queens of the stone age, Metallica (Early Metallica up to the Black Album) Shelter, 108. The Distillers More recent (2013/14) bands I have come across & really like include Inner Terrestrials (they reminded me a little of the early Moondragon gigs I used to attend - similar vibe) Hollie Cook (Sex Pistols Paul Cooks daughter) Horrorpops (Psychobilly) Urban Voodoo Machine.... More recently a band named Skating Polly have become a firm favourite of mine.
