| Introduction | My educational background is in Occupational Therapy. Consequently, I have a special place in my heart for people with physical and/or mental disabilities. I am dedicated to empowering this population through art education. I believe in helping everyone reach his or her creative potential regardless of age or skill level. As an Artist-in-Residence, I teach children how to create art. Using my Occupational Therapy skills, I specialize in teaching academics thru art to children with disabilities. I also teach art to adults with disabilities. I have been published extensively for my innovative work with disabilities. I lecture and teach classes and seminars across the country. Topics include: Special Art for Special People, How to provide art experiences to people with disabilities for parents and teachers, and Artist-in-Residencies. |
