The Virtuous Atheist is one who values high standards of moral and ethical behavior and yearns for elegance and grace in a society that is becoming increasingly superficial where morals are decided on fads and whims rather than critical thought and deeply held principles. The Virtuous Atheist may have many views similar to those of the religious and more conservative, but feels that one can achieve their ideals in society without religion. Some ideals may be traditionally rooted in religion, but have a secular twist.
