Introduction	I'm a Taiwan lifer and live on the green slopes of western Yangmingshan, just outside the National Park boundary (Beixinzhuang, ten klicks inland from Sanzhi), and between the occasional bouts of work (video game localization, www.shentloc.com), I amuse myself with our two sons, four dogs, five cats and ca. 300 carnivorous plants (www.two-ton.com). I'm a Victorian naturalist at heart and have been utterly fascinated with Taiwan's fantastic flora and fauna ever since I set foot on these shores 20 years ago.
