| Introduction | This blog is really about the restaurant, Nunnie's Place. I am not Nunnie. Nunnie was my grandmother who passed away this past March. Many customers ask if I am Nunnie, or if the recipes were all Nunnie's. Funny thing is Nunnie didn't cook. Or at least not much. Pot roast and Poor Man's cakes and Ham and Bean soup. The restaurant came into being 19 months ago, and since I had never been in the restaurant business and didn't know beans about it....I hired a chef. Chefy, affectionately known to all of us who know and love him, is a gem, a good friend, and one terrific chef. He's fun, creative and even lets me experiment sometimes on "his side" of the kitchen. I really hate to write, but have been interested in blogging since seeing the movie Julie & Julia. Not sure I'll write interesting stuff but it will always be from the heart and have something to do with food! I hope you'll visit often and a warm welcome to Nunnie's Place. |
