| Introduction | I am originally from the small town of Ripley, Oklahoma. I moved to Texas where I worked as a police officer in Houston for more than 20 years, then in the police labor movement for another 20 years. Most recently, I servied as the chief labor relations officer in Austin, Texas. I currently own a consulting business and provide a variety of services related to public safety issues to municipalities. I have the unique experience of having worked on both the labor and management sides of police labor and personnel issues. |
