Introduction	I wish I could say that devoting a year to soup is actually a deep metaphor. It is not. I am turning 40, have forgotten how to cook, and how to write. I am tired of political blogs, tired of the economy, tired of so many things that were wrong with the world when I was 21 and continue to be wrong today. Soup is a comfort food. Makes sense to me.
