About me

Gender Female
Occupation Writer, permaculturalist
Location Hatherleigh, Devon, United Kingdom
Introduction Mike and I had the great good fortune to grow up in Africa - Rhodesia to be precise. We left Zimbabwe in 1999, ran a pub in Devon for two and a half years, and then bought our beautiful boat, Forever, and sailed around the world for seven years. After a couple of years working in the UK care industry and a bank, I retired. We currently live in a cottage on a working farm in Devon where I garden and write and Mike cycles and paints pictures. We live on the state pension and the quality of our lives are proof that there is no need to live in poverty in this country. But then we come from Africa and have travelled to many other parts of the world, so we know what real poverty is. We are extremely comfortable and happy on our shoestring.
Interests Peggy - Reading, writing, sailing, walking, travelling, permaculture gardening, cooking, crosswords and sudokus.
