| Introduction | While my friends call me Debra, YouTube calls me VegasFitness1. It is the primary channel that I run on that platform, and I use it to share my work and my life. People seem to like the variety. Five reality TV crews shot episodes at my place. So far, nothing major has come of it. However, I’ve gained some prestige for making videos about my morbidly obese weight loss camps, senior health retreat, and bicycle fitness retreat. My house is not a facility or an institutional place but a private residential home with security protection. My work in bicycle safety education for Southern Nevada has gained me recognition in the bicycle community. In 2020, the League of American Bicyclists named me the Educator of the Year. As the City of Henderson Trail Watch ambassador, I create video documentaries on popular bike trails with a message on bicycle safety. Having over four decades as a fitness professional makes it necessary to prove my prowess from time to time. In August 2021, I set four world records in women masters powerlifting with the AAU-Amateur Athletic Union. My Guinness Record-breaking jump rope marathon was in 1981, so I was due for another fifteen minutes of fame. |
